Our Taylor ~ Graham Families

I'm Robert Calvin Graham, and my wife is Janelle Aileen Taylor. She calls me Boog.

We met in 1973 while attending Shippensburg State College in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

Janelle and I married in 1976, and briefly lived in Elizabethtown, and Harrisburg, before moving to Middletown Pennsylvania. We were there during the Three Mile Island tragedy. By 1980 we bought my family home in Camp Hill, Cumberland County, where our two boys were born.

In 1986 we moved to where we live today in the York Springs area of Franklin Township, northern York County, Pennsylvania. As of 2024, the story of Janelle and my life together is still being written around the lives of our sons.

Justin Taylor Graham

Justin started young in life having a family. He had two children before he graduated high school. Even before he married their mother, Ashley Constance Goss. Their daughter, our granddaughter, Taylor Constance Graham, is our family’s name-sake. She is named after my wife’s maiden name. She’s a beautiful young woman in a relationship with a wonderful young man, Tyler. Taylor and Tyler!

Then there is their son, Jordan. I think of him as my boy. In fact, all the boys are my boys. Jordan is a kind, sweet, and polite. He tells his life story with tattoos.

Justin and Ashley didn’t last long. She went south… figuratively. Taylor's and Jordan's grandparents are the Goss ~ Harkaway families.

It wasn’t long till Justin had more children. Again, before marrying Tyanne Ione Kline. Together they had a son Hayden Jarell Graham. I call him Yo-Yo. He is also a sweet and kind person who has a great future ahead of him. Justin and Tyanne also had a daughter, Riley Emma Graham. I call her Ri-Ri, but her dad and sister Taylor call her bug, or peanut. She's our dancer and gymnast. She is clearly a sweet and loving child.

The marriage between Justin and Tyanne lasted longer than Justin's first marriage, and more amiable. Tyanne and Justin continue to jointly, and positively, care for their children. Hayden's and Riley's grandparents are the Kline ~ Aungst families.

After a few years, Justin met Jamie McKim of Mt. Union, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. At the time Jamie was a teacher for a private school in York, Pennsylvania. She was in a relationship with someone, and they had two girls: Addie and Sage. The relationship didn't work out, and eventually Jamie and Justin met. Soon after they moved in together in York, Pennsylvania. They married, and all six kids are very close half siblings.

Ian Robert Graham

Our son Ian is cut from a different piece of cloth. He was in diapers when he first started beating on our piano. We made him wait until he could read and write before getting him piano lessons.

By the time he was ten he wanted to learn guitar. He became very-very good, but he just couldn’t bring himself to play in front of anyone. However, when he was 14 years old he did play at a golf course bar and restaurant where he washed dishes. He and his brother played golf since they were little people. In fact, they were both on the high school golf team.

The bar there had entertainment most Friday’s, and everyone knew Ian could play guitar. Next thing we knew the entertainment for the night, and the crowd, started yelling for Ian to play. He came out from the kitchen in his apron, asked the entertainer if he could use his guitar and played. His first song was a Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville parody; Marijuanaville. The crowd went nuts. That’s our Ian.

Ian’s a graduate of Shippensburg State College. The same school his mother graduated in 1974. In fact, he stayed in the same dorm, same floor, and across the hall from where his mother stayed when she attended. Ian married Amanda DeJesus of Brooklyn, New York, New York. I have always said he has more of my genes than his mothers.

Our Parents and Grandparents

I elected myself as the custodian of the Taylor ~ Graham library, and the historian of our many families. I spent years researching, weeding through volumes of information, to leave our grandchildren access to their ancestor’s past lives.

Our Taylor ~ Graham digital library is organized around our parent's grandparents. Essentially my, and my wife’s, great grandparents.

Within the library's directories are the many-many papers on their stories.
